Bylaws

The Mass 4-H Program has an integrated system of Standard Advisory By-laws that provide governing principles for the operation of all 4-H councils, animal science councils and boards in Massachusetts.

The by-laws incorporated elements of several Mass 4-H previous advisory groups. The State Advisory Council worked with Mass 4-H staff to seek input from each county’s advisories on how to set up this governance structure.

By-laws will continue to evolve over time, but it is reassuring to know that wherever you go throughout the state, the 4-H councils use the same operating rules, which makes it easier for 4-H volunteers around the state to keep in touch with current policies and participate in special initiatives.
