About 4-H

The Massachusetts 4-H, or simply 4-H, is as diverse as Massachusetts itself. Young, old, and somewhere in between. Men and women, girls and boys. From the city, country, and suburbs.

4-H is a partnership, build on mutual respect, responsibility, consensus, and volunteering. 4-H programs are for boys and girls from 5 to 18 years of age. But that's just the beginning. We build partnerships that bring together:

• The very different local facets of 4-H -- community service, character and leadership development, camping, as well as skill development in science and technology, and life and work skills.
• Concerned citizens who serve on the Massachusetts 4-H Foundation and local 4-H councils.
• Teen and adult volunteers.

4-H draws together the practical academic and organizational resources of:
